Formerly the Bank Of Australasia. A nine storey building constructed of oamaru stone imported from New Zealand. Built in two stages. In 1875 as a two storey building to a design by Reed & Barnes. In 1929 with the addition of another three floors to a design by A & K Henderson keeping the same Classical Revival style. Refurbished, subdivided and converted to serviced apartments with the addition of four new floors in 2001. A restaurant was incorporated on the ground floor.
